Terms and Conditions

1. These terms

These terms apply to all website design, development and related services provided by Edwin Projects ("we", "us") to you ("the client"). Where we issue a written proposal or quote, that document and these terms together form the agreement between us.

2. Scope of work

Each project is scoped in a written proposal covering the pages, features and deliverables included. Anything not listed in the proposal is out of scope. Additional work can be added at any point and will be quoted separately before it starts.

3. Fees and payment

• Projects are quoted at a fixed price agreed before work begins.
• A 50% deposit is payable to book your build slot; the balance is due on approval, before the site goes live.
• Invoices are payable within 7 days unless agreed otherwise.
• Deposits are non-refundable once design or build work has started.

4. Timelines and client materials

Typical builds are delivered in 5 to 7 working days from the point we have everything we need. Timelines depend on you supplying copy, imagery, brand assets and feedback promptly. Delays in providing materials or approvals move the delivery date accordingly.

5. Revisions and approval

Each project includes two rounds of revisions on the agreed scope. Further changes, or changes that alter the agreed scope, are charged at our then-current rate. Work is deemed approved once you confirm in writing or the site goes live.

6. Client responsibilities

You confirm that any text, images, video, logos and other materials you supply are accurate and that you own them or have permission to use them. You are responsible for the legality of the content published on your site, and you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from materials you provide.

7. Ownership and licence

You retain ownership of your brand, content and data. On receipt of full payment, ownership of the final website design and bespoke code produced for your project transfers to you. We retain ownership of our underlying tools, components and frameworks, licensed to you for use within your site. We may display the completed work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to in writing.

8. Hosting, third parties and support

Standard hosting, SSL and analytics setup are included as described in your proposal. Third-party services (domains, payment providers, plugins) are subject to their own terms and fees. We include 14 days of post-launch support for fixes; ongoing changes and maintenance are available on a monthly retainer.

9. Liability

We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue or data, or for downtime caused by third-party providers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the project giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Cancellation

Either party may cancel in writing. If you cancel mid-project, you pay for work completed up to that date and the deposit is retained. If we cancel, we refund any fees paid for work not completed.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions? Email hello@edwinprojects.com or start a project.
